Sky Ticking Stripe Cotton Oxford Cloth Button-Down Shirt
Drake's sky ticking stripe button-down is cut from a midweight cotton oxford with fine sky blue and white stripes. It follows the American oxford shirt of the last century, a style central to the brand, and is made at its factory in Somerset. The design is built around a soft rolling collar with a floating interlining, single-needle seams and a regular cut. It is meant to work with tailoring as well as on its own, and dressed up or down.

American Pima Sky Blue Stripe Oxford Cloth
We chose a sky blue and white striped oxford in American Pima cotton because it has the colour, pattern and plain cotton make-up of the original. We set a soft Ivy button-down collar so it rolls in a similar way, along with a one-button cuff, a front placket, a chest pocket, a curved hem and mother of pearl buttons. The cloth on offer is heavier than Drake's midweight oxford, so we accepted the extra weight to get the right colour and stripe. Proper Cloth's pocket and back details also differ, so we chose an angled pocket and a split yoke in place of the pointed pocket and box pleat.
The cloth is a dense, heavyweight oxford woven from 80s two-ply American Pima cotton, with a matte finish and a soft hand. It has sky blue stripes on white and is a sturdy cloth that softens and looks better with washing and wear.
