Green and White Broad Stripe Linen Spread Collar Shirt
A summer shirt in lightweight linen, cut with a spread collar and patterned in a broad green and white stripe. The cloth was woven in Como for Drake's, and the shirt was made in Somerset with single-needle seams and mother of pearl buttons. The idea is linen as it is meant to wear: the colour softens with washing and the cloth creases loosely. It is intended to go untucked with shorts or chinos, or worn under a summer suit or with separates.

Baird McNutt Sage and Ivory Stripe Irish Linen
We chose a lightweight Irish linen from Baird McNutt with a sage and ivory stripe, since it was the closest plain-weave linen stripe on offer to the green and white original. We set a soft English spread collar, a soft front placket, one-button cuffs and mother of pearl buttons, and used the soft unfused construction so the collar and cuffs keep some of the give that floating interlining provides. Proper Cloth lists its cuff as a barrel cuff, which may not match the rounded corners of the original. The pocket was made with a flap rather than as a plain patch, and we added a split yoke and a shallow curved hem, details the Drake's listing does not specify.
A lightweight plain-weave linen in 26s yarns, woven and finished by Baird McNutt in Northern Ireland, a mill whose history goes back to 1798. It is a sage and ivory stripe with the soft hand and slubby, uneven texture typical of linen, and it creases and softens with wear as linen does.
