Red Stripe Cotton Pyjama Set
Drake's pyjama shirt is one half of a matching set, cut from a light Italian cotton twill and made in Somerset. It follows the long tradition of striped English nightwear, with a band collar in place of the usual notched lapel, which gives it a plainer and more modern line. The fit is loose and easy, and the shirt is sold with drawstring trousers in the same cloth. It is intended for lounging at home, though the collarless cut also lets it pass as a light summer shirt.

Washed Red Stripe Lightweight Oxford
We chose a washed lightweight oxford with a faded red stripe because it has the warm red and pale ground of the original and is a similarly soft, breathable cotton. We matched the grandad collar, single chest pocket, gently curved hem and mother of pearl buttons, and picked a soft unfused construction to keep the relaxed hand of a pyjama shirt. Proper Cloth offers no plain hemmed sleeve or rounded patch pocket, so we used a soft one-button barrel cuff and a square pocket instead. Only the shirt is made; the matching trousers are not part of this version.
A 100% cotton oxford in a red and pale stripe, woven lighter than a classic heavy oxford and washed so it feels soft and broken in from new. It has the slight texture of oxford cloth, breathes well in warm weather and gets softer with wear and washing.
