Red Brushed Cotton Two-Pocket Western Shirt

Drake's takes the familiar American Western shirt and makes it in England with single-needle seams. The cloth is a brushed herringbone cotton in red and ecru with a fine stripe. The house gives it pointed yokes and two flapped chest pockets with double points. It is a hard-wearing shirt, meant to soften and gain character with years of washing, and works as an outer layer or on its own.

American Pima Red Stripe Oxford Cloth

We looked for a red and white striped cotton with enough body and softness to stand in for the brushed herringbone, and chose a heavy American Pima oxford with a matte finish. We kept the Western elements in place: a point collar, a Western yoke and front, Western chest pockets, mother-of-pearl buttons, edge stitching and a curved hem. Proper Cloth's Western yoke, front and pockets are cut on the bias, so the stripe runs diagonally across them. Its two-button cuff has square corners rather than the original's barrel shape.

A dense, heavy oxford woven from two-ply 80s American Pima cotton, with a soft hand and a matte surface. It has a red and white stripe, and it softens and improves with repeated washing and wear.
