Red Narrow Stripe Cotton Poplin Button-Down Shirt
A long-sleeved button-down shirt in a red and white narrow stripe, cut from a lightweight cotton poplin and made at Drake's factory in Somerset. It follows the pattern of the classic American button-down, with a long-pointed collar that rolls softly over a brushed interlining that is left unfused. The regular cut, single-needle seams and box pleat at the back give it a relaxed ease, so it sits as comfortably under a tailored jacket as it does worn open at the neck with chinos.

Stanton 120s Red Bengal Stripe
We chose a red and white bengal stripe in a fine two-ply broadcloth, which is close to the original's poplin in weave, weight and smooth face, with a stripe of similar scale. We set a soft button-down collar, a front placket, a single-button cuff, a chest pocket, a shallow curved hem and mother-of-pearl buttons to follow the original. The design as made has a split yoke and no box pleat is listed, and the pocket is angled at the base rather than pointed, so the back and pocket differ slightly from Drake's.
A European-woven 100% cotton broadcloth spun from 120s two-ply yarns, very light in weight with a smooth, crisp hand and almost no surface texture. It carries a red and white bengal stripe a little wider than a pencil stripe. Like most broadcloths it creases more readily than a twill or pinpoint, but it presses cleanly and can also be worn unironed for a softer look.

- Their light weight tends to make them more prone to wrinkling than twills or pinpoints, however broadcloths iron up nicely and can even be worn washed without ironing for a more casual look. Finish: No Treatment.
