Red Cotton Long Point Collar Work Shirt
Drake's work shirt takes the plain utility shirt and gives it a dressier collar. It is cut from a red cotton twill that is stonewashed for a soft, lived-in finish, and has two mitred flap pockets on the chest so small items can stay out of the trouser pockets. A long point collar and two-button cuffs move it towards town wear, and it is made in Somerset with single-needle seams and corozo buttons, as Drake's other shirts are. It is meant to be worn loosely, outdoors or in the city.

Clark Red Oxford Cloth
We chose Proper Cloth's heavy red oxford because it gives a solid red cotton with enough body for a work shirt, though it is an oxford weave rather than a twill and has no stonewashing. We kept the original's main lines: a point collar, a front placket, two-button cuffs, two buttoned flap pockets on the chest, a curved hem and natural corozo buttons. Proper Cloth has no mitred patch pocket, so we used its western flap pocket as the closest buttoned flap, and its soft point collar in place of a true long point.
A heavy oxford woven from Pima cotton with a 40/1 by 21/2 construction, so it feels substantial without being thick. The colour is a solid, slightly dusty red. The cloth is hard-wearing and softens with washing and wear.
