Red Narrow Stripe Poplin Club Collar Shirt
This is a long-sleeved shirt in a narrow red and white striped cotton poplin with a club collar. It came from a capsule collection with Drake's creative director Michael Hill, and it revives a stripe that the firm's Somerset shirt factory has made for more than forty years. The cloth is washed so the shirt can go without pressing, and it is meant to suit both office and weekend wear.

Stanton 120s Red Bengal Stripe
We chose a red and white bengal stripe in a lightweight 120s two-ply broadcloth because it is the closest match to the original's colour, stripe width and smooth, plain-woven surface. We kept the front placket, the one-piece yoke, the single chest pocket with rounded corners, the one-button cuffs, the curved hem and the mother of pearl buttons. We set a soft English spread collar instead of the rounded club collar, and soft one-button barrel cuffs in place of the rounded cuff. We used soft construction throughout to keep the relaxed feel of the original's washed finish.
Stanton is a 100% cotton broadcloth woven in Europe from 120s two-ply yarn. It is very light, with a smooth, crisp hand and almost no surface texture. This one has a red and white bengal stripe a little wider than a pencil stripe. Like most broadcloths it creases more easily than a twill or a pinpoint, but it irons well and can also be worn unpressed after washing.
