ALD / Drake's Striped Poplin Shirt
This shirt comes from the collaboration between Aimé Leon Dore and Drake's, and takes the pink striped button-down as its starting point. It is made in England in Drake's Somerset factory from a lightweight cotton poplin with a smooth face and a slight sheen. The details follow traditional shirtmaking: a soft, unfused button-down collar, a box pleat at the back and whipped mother of pearl buttons. It is cut to a regular fit and suits the office as well as weekends.

Stanton Pink Bengal Stripe 120s Broadcloth
We chose a pink and white bengal stripe in a fine two-ply cotton broadcloth, because its smooth, flat face and light weight are the closest match available to the original poplin. We matched the main details: a soft button-down collar, a front placket, one-button barrel cuffs and mother of pearl buttons. Proper Cloth offers a one-piece yoke, not Drake's split inner yoke, so we used that, and the logo embroidery is not carried over.
A 120s two-ply cotton broadcloth woven in Italy, very light, with a smooth, crisp hand and almost no surface texture. It has light pink bengal stripes on white. Its lightness means it creases more easily than a twill, but it irons well and can also be worn unironed.

- Their lightness tends to make them more prone to wrinkling than twills or pinpoints, however broadcloths iron up nicely and can even be worn washed without ironing for a more casual look. Finish: No Treatment.
