Red and White Stripe Linen Pyjama Set
This Drake's pyjama shirt is the top half of a matching sleepwear set, cut in a lightweight linen and cotton blend woven in Italy and made up in Somerset. It follows the traditional pyjama pattern, with a soft rounded collar, three patch pockets and a square hem. It is sold alongside drawstring trousers in the same cloth for wear at home, though the shirt can also be worn open on its own in warm weather.

Stanton 120s Red Bengal Stripe
We looked for a light red and white stripe on a white ground and settled on a two-ply cotton broadcloth with a bengal stripe, since the range offered no linen blend in a comparable red stripe. We chose a soft one-piece collar to suggest the original's relaxed rounded collar, a French front, a straight hem and mother-of-pearl buttons. Proper Cloth's options led us to a single chest pocket rather than three, and barrel cuffs in place of the original's plain sleeve ends.
The cloth is a 120s two-ply cotton broadcloth woven in Europe, very light in weight, with a smooth, crisp and nearly textureless surface. It carries evenly spaced red bengal stripes, slightly wider than a pencil stripe, on white. Like most broadcloths it creases readily, but it irons well and can also be worn washed without pressing.
