Pink Narrow Stripe Cotton Poplin Button-Down Shirt
This is a button-down shirt in a pink and white narrow stripe, cut from a lightweight cotton poplin and made at Drake's own factory in Somerset. It follows the long tradition of the striped Oxford-style button-down, here given a longer collar point that rolls softly over a floating, brushed interlining. The silhouette is regular, the seams are sewn with a single needle, and the back carries a box pleat. It sits comfortably with tailoring, with or without a tie, and is just as suited to casual wear.

Stanton Pink Bengal Stripe 120s Broadcloth
We chose a pink and white striped cotton broadcloth, which is the same plain weave as poplin, so that the light, smooth character of the original would carry over. The closest stripe on offer is a bengal stripe, which is somewhat bolder than Drake's narrow stripe, and we accepted that difference to keep the colour right. We set a soft, unfused button-down collar to stand in for the floating interlining, along with a front placket, a one-button barrel cuff, a curved hem and mother of pearl buttons. Proper Cloth offered no pointed patch pocket, so we used its angled pocket instead, and the back was made with a split yoke.
An Italian cotton broadcloth woven from 120s two-ply yarns, very light in weight with a smooth, crisp hand and almost no surface texture. It has a light pink bengal stripe on a white ground. Like most broadcloths it creases more readily than a twill or pinpoint, but it presses well and can also be worn unironed.

- Their lightness tends to make them more prone to wrinkling than twills or pinpoints, however broadcloths iron up nicely and can even be worn washed without ironing for a more casual look. Finish: No Treatment.
