Khaki Green Cotton Flannel Two-Pocket Work Shirt
Drake's two-pocket work shirt takes the plain utility shirt of the workshop and the outdoors and gives it the finish of a dress shirt. This version is cut in a brushed khaki green cotton flannel and made in Somerset, England, with single-needle seams throughout. Twin pleated chest pockets with button flaps take the load off trouser pockets. A spread collar and rounded cuffs keep it easy to wear, whether tucked in or worn loose over a T-shirt in the cooler months.

Canclini Pine Melange Twill Beacon Flannel
We chose a Canclini brushed cotton flannel in a pine green melange because its muted, slightly varied green is close to the soft khaki green of the original and has the same brushed hand. Two pleated flap chest pockets, a front placket, a one-button cuff and natural corozo buttons were set to follow the original's working details. Proper Cloth's nearest options gave us a soft semi-spread collar rather than a full spread, a barrel cuff in place of the rounded cuff and a shallow curved hem instead of a straight one. The cloth is a heavier twill rather than a midweight plain flannel.
A heavyweight brushed cotton flannel woven by Canclini, near Lake Como, in 2-ply 50s yarns with a twill weave. It is dense and soft, with a pine green melange that reads as a solid from a distance and shows a mix of tones up close. It is warm enough to wear on its own or as a layer, and is a sturdy shirting.
