Pink Bengal Stripe Cotton Poplin Button-Down Shirt
Drake's makes this shirt at its Somerset factory in a light cotton poplin with a pink and white bengal stripe. It belongs to the long tradition of striped button-down shirts that sit between office and weekend dress. The collar has a brushed interlining that floats rather than being fused, so it rolls softly, and the cuffs, pocket and yoke are cut in the house's usual way. It can be worn with a tie and tailoring or open at the neck with casual trousers.

Stanton Pink Bengal Stripe 120s Broadcloth
We chose a pink bengal stripe in a fine two-ply cotton broadcloth. It is a plain weave very close to poplin, and its stripe is of a similar character and colour. We set a soft button-down collar, a soft one-button cuff, a front placket, a chest pocket, a curved hem and mother of pearl buttons to follow the original. Proper Cloth's options led us to a one-piece yoke in place of the split inner yoke, and to an angled pocket in place of the point pocket. The design as made lists no box pleat at the back.
An Italian cotton broadcloth woven from 120s two-ply yarns. It is very light, smooth and crisp, with almost no visible texture, and shows a light pink and white bengal stripe. It creases more readily than a twill or pinpoint, but it irons up cleanly and can also be worn unironed after washing for a softer look.
