Dark Green Wool Two-Pocket Camp Collar Work Shirt
Drake's two-pocket work shirt borrows from the plain, hard-wearing shirts once worn in workshops and on the land, and recuts the type in a dark green wool flannel. It has a camp collar that lies open at the neck, a pair of flapped chest pockets for small things, and a straight hem cut to be worn untucked. It is made in Italy with single-needle seams and fisheye corozo buttons. It can be worn on its own as a shirt or over a T-shirt as a light outer layer in cooler months.

Canclini Pine Melange Twill Beacon Flannel
We chose a pine green melange flannel from Canclini because it comes close to the deep green and the brushed, soft surface of the original. Proper Cloth does not offer a comparable wool flannel, so we used a heavy cotton one instead. We matched the open one-piece collar, the two rounded-flap chest pockets, the one-button barrel cuffs, the straight hem and the natural corozo buttons. Where the options differed we took a French front in place of a sewn placket, and a plain straight hem because the stepped version was not available.
A heavyweight brushed cotton flannel woven by Canclini near Lake Como from 50s two-ply yarns in a twill weave. It is pine green with a varied melange, so it reads close to solid with some depth up close. The hand is dense and soft, and it is heavy enough to wear as a layer.
