Pink Linen Spread Collar Summer Shirt
A casual long-sleeved shirt in pink linen, made in Somerset, England. It has a spread collar that suits wear with or without a tie and a single rounded patch pocket on the chest. The collar and cuffs are built with a brushed floating interlining, so they stay soft rather than stiff. The shirt is sewn with single-needle seams and cut to a regular fit for warm weather.

Washed Pink Lightweight Oxford
We chose a washed lightweight oxford in pale pink because it was the closest to the original's colour and summer weight, and its slightly rough surface stands in for the slubby texture of linen. We matched the main details: a soft English spread collar, one-button cuffs, a front placket, a rounded chest pocket, a split yoke, a curved hem and mother of pearl buttons. Proper Cloth's range did not give us the same linen, so we used cotton oxford instead, and we picked soft constructions for the collar, cuffs and placket to come closer to the floating interlining of the original.
A pale pink oxford cloth in 100% cotton, woven from 40s two-ply yarns and lighter than a standard oxford. It is washed before it is cut, so it feels soft and already broken in. Like most oxfords, it has a quiet texture and wears in well with repeated washing.
