Khaki Green Linen Spread Collar Summer Shirt
Drake's made this summer shirt in a lightweight linen woven in Como for the house and sewn in Somerset. It is cut to a regular fit, with a spread collar and single rounded cuffs, both given a brushed floating interlining so they stay soft. The khaki green is meant to fade with washing and the cloth to crease naturally. It can be worn untucked with shorts or chinos, or tucked in under a summer suit or odd jacket.

Baird McNutt Olive Irish Linen
We chose a solid olive Irish linen from Baird McNutt because its colour, weight and plain weave come close to the Drake's khaki green. We kept the collar and cuffs soft to match the unstructured feel of the original. We set a spread collar, front placket, single chest pocket, split yoke, curved hem and mother of pearl buttons to match. Proper Cloth offered no rounded single cuff or straight-topped patch pocket in this design, so we used a one-button barrel cuff and an angled pocket instead.
A plain-weave linen in 26s yarn, woven, dyed and finished by Baird McNutt in Northern Ireland. It is light, soft and slightly irregular in texture, in a mid-tone olive green, and like any linen it creases readily and softens with wear.
