Khaki Green Linen Spread Collar Shirt
This is a summer shirt in plain khaki green linen, made with the expectation that its colour will soften and its surface will crease with wear. The cloth is woven in Como for Drake's, and the shirt is sewn in Somerset with the single-needle seams and mother of pearl buttons the house uses across its shirting. A moderate spread collar and a single chest pocket keep it close to a classic shirt. It can be worn loose over shorts or chinos, or tucked in under a lightweight suit or separates.

Baird McNutt Olive Irish Linen
We chose a plain-weave Irish linen from Baird McNutt because it is solid, lightweight and in a muted green close to the original's khaki green, and it has the slightly irregular, creased surface that defines the Drake's shirt. We matched the collar with a soft English spread and the cuffs with a soft one-button cuff, both in an unfused soft construction to come close to the floating interlining. We also kept the front placket, a single chest pocket, a curved hem and mother of pearl buttons. Proper Cloth's pocket option here is angled at the top and its hem is shallower than a full shirt tail, so we accepted those as the nearest equivalents.
A 100% linen in plain weave from Baird McNutt, which weaves, dyes and finishes it in Northern Ireland. It is lightweight, soft in the hand and slubby in the way linen usually is, in a solid mid-tone olive green. It will crease easily and soften with washing.
