Navy Twill Cotton Two-Pocket Work Shirt
Drake's cuts this work shirt from a sturdy navy cotton twill, joining the practical habits of workwear to the finish of its town shirts. Two pleated chest pockets with button flaps hold small items so the trousers need not, and a spread collar with rounded cuffs keeps it relaxed. It is made in Somerset with single-needle seams and mother of pearl buttons, as for the house's dress shirting, and suits weekend wear outdoors as well as in the city.

Rustic Navy Slub Twill
We chose a solid navy cotton twill to keep the colour and weave of the original, and went for a Japanese slub twill that gives a plain workwear cloth some surface interest. The spread collar, soft front placket, one-piece yoke, curved hem and mother of pearl buttons were set to match. Proper Cloth's safari pockets supply the pleated, button-flap chest pockets. Its one-button barrel cuff replaces the rounded cuff, and its quarter-inch stitching replaces Drake's single-needle finish.
A heavyweight cotton twill woven in Japan from thick, coarse single-ply yarns, with a slubby, uneven surface and a dark navy that varies a little across the cloth. It feels rugged and casual, and should take hard wear and soften with washing.
