Green Cotton Long Point Collar Work Shirt
Drake's work shirt takes its cue from the plain cotton shirts made for workshops and outdoor jobs, and brings them into a more considered wardrobe. It is cut in a light olive cotton drill that has been peached, and finished with a long point collar, two flap chest pockets and a curved hem. The make is careful: single-needle seams, collar and cuffs with a floating interlining, and fisheye corozo buttons, all sewn in Italy. It is intended as a casual shirt, worn on its own or open over a T-shirt.

Japanese Olive Cotton Selvedge Twill
We chose a solid olive Japanese selvedge twill because it comes close to the colour of the original and gives a soft, worn-in surface, much as the peached drill does. To keep the collar and cuffs relaxed, as the floating interlining does on the original, we set a soft point collar, soft one-button barrel cuffs and a soft front placket, with two utility pockets, a shallow curved hem and natural corozo buttons. Proper Cloth offers no long point collar with that particular soft construction, so we took its Soft Point collar. Its pocket choices also differ from Drake's pointed flaps, so we used utility pockets and added a split yoke.
A Japanese selvedge twill woven from 20s single-ply cotton in a warm, solid olive green. It is a medium to heavy cloth, and each shirt is washed after sewing, which gives a soft, broken-in hand and some puckering along the seams. Selvedge twill is a durable weave, and this one should soften further as it is worn.
