Navy Corduroy Two-Pocket Western Shirt
Drake's offers a western shirt in navy cotton needlecord, made in England. It takes the familiar ranch shirt of the American West and builds it the way the house makes its other shirts, with single-needle seams, pointed front yokes and two flapped chest pockets. The cord is dense and sturdy, intended for regular wear, and it should soften and gain character over many years.

In Proper Cloth
Ketchum Navy Cotton Corduroy
We chose a navy cotton corduroy with a fine wale so that it would match the needlecord surface and solid colour of the original. We set a western front, western yoke and western pockets, edge stitching, two-button cuffs and corozo buttons to follow the original's details. Proper Cloth has no long, sharp western collar, so we used its soft point collar. Its hems and cuffs also differ, so we took a shallow curved hem and square-cornered cuffs in place of the straight hem and barrel cuffs.
The cloth is a 20-wale cotton corduroy woven in Spain, in a solid navy. Its construction gives it some natural stretch while staying 100% cotton. Although it is listed as heavyweight, the mill describes its hand as lighter and softer than most corduroy, closer to a soft twill, so it suits more than one season.
