Navy Gingham Check Linen Camp Collar Long Sleeve Shirt
A long-sleeved summer shirt in navy and white gingham linen, made in Somerset. It takes the camp-collar shirt, long associated with warm-weather dressing, and gives it a loose cut, an open collar, a plain front and a straight hem so it can be worn untucked. The soft, light linen is chosen for airiness in high summer, and the shirt is meant to be worn open at the neck on its own.

Seabrook Dark Navy Medium Gingham Poplin
We could not find a linen gingham of the right colour, so we chose a very lightweight navy and white cotton gingham to keep the colour and the check. We matched the shape with a soft one-piece collar, a French front with no placket, one-button barrel cuffs, a straight hem and mother-of-pearl buttons. The cloth gives up linen's slubbed texture and dry hand for a smooth, even surface, and its check is a medium scale rather than the original's small one. Proper Cloth's rounded pocket style replaces the original's pair of patch chest pockets.
Proper Cloth's Seabrook cloth is a 100% cotton broadcloth woven from 50s single-ply yarns, very light in weight, with a flat, smooth surface. It shows a medium-scale gingham in dark navy and white, and the plain broadcloth weave makes it durable for everyday wear.
