Dark Navy Linen Spread Collar Shirt
A long-sleeved summer shirt in dark navy linen, cut in Drake's regular fit and made in Somerset from cloth woven in Como. It follows the house's usual shirting methods, with single-needle seams, mother of pearl buttons and a spread collar lined with a brushed floating interlining. The linen is chosen to soften, crease and fade with wear. It can be worn loose over shorts or chinos, or tucked in beneath a lightweight suit or odd jacket in warm weather.

Baird McNutt Navy Irish Linen
We chose a lightweight navy linen from Baird McNutt because it matches the original's solid dark colour, plain weave and slightly irregular, crumpled surface. We kept the main details the same: a soft spread collar, a front placket, a single chest pocket, a curved hem and mother of pearl buttons. Proper Cloth has no option matching Drake's rounded single-button cuff or plain patch pocket, so we chose a soft one-button barrel cuff and an angled pocket, and we added a split yoke.
A plain-weave linen in solid navy from 26s yarn, woven, dyed and finished by Baird McNutt in Northern Ireland. It is light and soft, with the uneven slubby texture typical of linen. It will crease readily and soften with washing.
