Navy Cotton Needlecord Button-Down Shirt
A navy button-down shirt in needlecord, made in Drake's own factory in Somerset. It takes the button-down collar, a shape with roughly a century of history and central to the Drake's range, and cuts it in a fine-ribbed cotton for the cooler months. The collar has a soft, unfused interlining so that it rolls rather than lying flat, and the shirt is put together with single-needle seams and a regular cut. It is meant for autumn and spring, worn with corduroy trousers, Shetland knitwear or heavier tweeds.

Ketchum Navy Cotton Corduroy
We chose a solid navy 20-wale cotton corduroy from Spain as the closest match to the original's fine needlecord, with its ribbed surface that reads as plain navy from a distance. We set a soft Ivy button-down collar with an unfused construction to follow the original's rolling collar and floating interlining, and kept the one-piece yoke, front placket, single-button cuff, curved hem and mother of pearl buttons. Proper Cloth offers no point breast pocket with a pen slot, so we used its angled pocket, and the cuff is a barrel cuff rather than a specified rounded one.
A 20-wale corduroy in 100% cotton, woven in Spain in a solid navy, with a soft, velvety surface. The weave gives it some natural stretch without any added elastane. Proper Cloth lists it as heavyweight, but it is described as lighter in hand than most corduroy, closer to a soft twill, and suited to three seasons of wear.
