Navy Cotton Linen Two-Pocket Work Shirt
Drake's two-pocket work shirt is a utility shirt cut in a midweight blend of cotton and linen, made in Somerset. It takes the plain working shirt as its starting point and gives it the finish of the house's dress shirting: single-needle seams, mother of pearl buttons and a softly interlined spread collar and cuffs. Two pleated chest pockets with button flaps carry small things so the trousers need not, and the shirt is meant to be worn on its own, open-necked, through the warmer months.

Portuguese Navy Cotton and Linen Oxford
We looked for a navy cotton and linen cloth of similar weight and settled on a Portuguese oxford with a higher share of linen, which keeps the dark colour and dry, textured hand, though in a different weave from the original's denim-like twill. We set a soft spread collar, a one-button cuff, a front placket, two pleated button-flap chest pockets, a curved hem and mother of pearl buttons to follow the original. Proper Cloth's cuff options gave us a barrel cuff in place of the rounded one, and the garment also has a split yoke and a sleeve placket button.
An oxford weave of 55% cotton and 45% linen from a Portuguese mill, medium in weight and woven in 38s yarns. It is a dark, saturated solid navy with slubs from the linen that give the surface some texture, and it is denser and more opaque than many cotton-linen blends. It should soften and wear in with washing.
