Indigo Rinse Denim Cotton Two-Pocket Work Shirt
Drake's two-pocket work shirt is a recurring design in its range, here made in a rinsed indigo cotton denim that is intended to fade and develop character with wear. It takes its form from utility shirting, with two pleated chest pockets closed by buttoned flaps, a spread collar and rounded single-button cuffs. It is sewn in Somerset with single-needle seams and mother of pearl buttons, as is usual for the house, and suits wear on its own or as a light overshirt.

Portuguese Navy Brushed Chambray
Proper Cloth's range does not include a rinsed indigo denim that matches the original exactly, so we chose a dark navy brushed chambray from Portugal as the nearest solid cotton in the same denim and chambray family. We matched the spread collar, front placket, one-piece yoke, single-button cuffs, pleated flap chest pockets and mother of pearl buttons. Where an exact equivalent was not offered, we used one-button barrel cuffs in place of rounded cuffs, a shallow curved hem in place of a full shirttail, and quarter-inch topstitching.
A solid dark navy chambray in 100% cotton, woven in Portugal from 20s single-ply yarns. It is medium to heavy in weight with a firm structure, and brushing gives the surface a soft, slightly napped hand close to flannel, along with some added warmth for cooler weather.
