Navy Satin Cotton Popover Work Shirt
This is Drake's popover work shirt, made in Somerset in a navy slub-yarn cotton satin. Its design comes from the house archive and has a mid-century feel, set somewhere between a service shirt and something smarter for the weekend. The traditional work-shirt details are all there: a one-piece yoke with a box pleat, a locker loop and rounded cuffs. A longer point collar and corozo buttons make it a little more polished, and twin flapped chest pockets keep it practical. It is meant to be worn casually, though it can be dressed up a little.

Portuguese Navy Brushed Chambray
We chose a dark navy cotton for the cloth and accepted a brushed chambray in place of the slub satin, because a plain solid navy with some surface texture was the closest match available. We kept the half-placket popover front, the one-piece yoke, the twin flapped chest pockets, the one-button barrel cuffs, the curved hem and the corozo buttons. Proper Cloth's options do not include a long point collar, so we used its soft point collar. The made version also has no box pleat or locker loop.
This is a 100% cotton chambray woven in Portugal from 20s single-ply yarn, in a solid dark navy. It is fairly heavy, and the surface is brushed to give a soft hand and some warmth, close to a light flannel. It suits cooler weather.
