Yellow Corduroy Two-Pocket Western Shirt

This is a western shirt cut from mustard yellow cotton needlecord and made in Italy. It takes the familiar ranch-wear design and builds it with the single-needle seams and mother of pearl buttons Drake's uses on its shirting. Pointed front yokes, twin double-point flap pockets and two-button barrel cuffs carry the western detailing. The corduroy is sturdy and intended to soften and take on character over many years of wear.

Portuguese Marigold Brushed Chambray

We could not find a mustard needlecord among Proper Cloth's cloths, so we chose a marigold brushed chambray that comes close to the colour and has a similarly soft, warm surface. Brushing gives the chambray some of the depth and comfort of corduroy, but it has no wale. We set the western front, yoke and pockets, two-button cuffs and mother of pearl buttons to follow the original. Proper Cloth offers no long-pointed western collar, so we used a soft point collar, and we added a shallow curved hem.

A 100% cotton chambray woven in Portugal from 20s single-ply yarns and brushed for a soft, slightly napped finish. It is a medium heavyweight solid in marigold yellow, warm enough for wear from autumn through spring without the bulk of a true flannel.
