Lilac Pinpoint Oxford Cotton Cloth Button-Down Shirt
Drake's treats the oxford button-down as a foundation of its shirtmaking, a pattern that has changed little in a hundred years. This version uses pinpoint, a finer and lighter oxford with a faint sheen and a softer hand than the standard weave. It is cut to a regular silhouette in the house factory in Somerset, with floating interlinings and single-needle seams, and the rolling collar is the main point of the design. It is intended to work across most occasions, with or without a tie.

Clark Lilac Oxford Cloth
We chose a solid lilac oxford in the same shade family, accepting that Proper Cloth offers it as a heavy oxford rather than a pinpoint, so the shirt has more body and a rougher surface than the original. We matched the soft, unfused button-down collar, the one-button barrel cuff, the front placket, split yoke, chest pocket, curved hem and mother of pearl buttons. Where the options differed we took the closest available: an angled patch pocket, a shallow curved hem, and no back box pleat specified in the design.
A solid lilac oxford in 100% cotton, woven with a 40/1 warp and 21/2 weft for a heavier, more substantial cloth than a pinpoint. It has the open, slightly textured surface of a classic oxford, is built to be hard-wearing, and softens with repeated washing.
