Grey Melange Jersey Cotton Long-Sleeve Polo Shirt
Drake's long-sleeve polo takes the short-sleeved knitted polo and carries it into cooler months, keeping the collar and placket but adding full-length sleeves. It is cut from a grey melange cotton jersey of medium weight and made in Portugal. The collar is structured and edged with ribbing, the three-button placket uses mother-of-pearl buttons, and ribbed cuffs and a stepped hem finish it. It sits between a T-shirt and a shirt, and can be worn on its own or under a jacket.
In Proper Cloth
Light Slate Linen Knit Jersey
We wanted a solid melange jersey in a cool grey, and Proper Cloth's light slate linen knit was the nearest match in colour and in the flecked surface of the cloth. We set a soft one-piece collar, a polo placket, a polo hem and mother-of-pearl buttons so it reads as a polo. Proper Cloth does not offer ribbed cuffs or a three-button polo placket, so we chose one-button barrel cuffs and their two-button placket. The cloth is linen rather than cotton, which makes this a lighter, warm-weather version.
A pure linen yarn knitted in jersey and finished in a light slate melange. It is very light, with a soft drape and a little give from the knit. The slub in the yarn gives an uneven, textured surface, and the colour shifts slightly as the light changes. It breathes well and suits warm weather.
