Washed Indigo Piqué Cotton Polo Shirt
Drake's short-sleeved polo is made in Portugal from a cotton piqué, then garment-washed so the indigo dye settles into an uneven, tonal blue. It keeps to the classic tennis shirt pattern, with a ribbed collar, a two-button placket and a stepped hem that is longer at the back. Mother-of-pearl buttons add a more finished note. It is meant as a warm-weather staple, worn on its own or under a light jacket.

Light Slate Linen Knit Jersey
Proper Cloth does not offer a washed indigo piqué, so we chose a solid knit and kept the polo's structure as close to the original as the options allowed. We went with a pure linen jersey in a light slate melange. Its slubbed surface and shifting tone give it some of the variation of the washed indigo, but in a cooler grey-blue. We set a two-button placket, short polo sleeves, a polo hem and mother-of-pearl buttons to follow the original. Proper Cloth's collar is a soft one-piece collar made from the same cloth, so it has no ribbed knit collar.
The cloth is a very lightweight jersey knitted from 100% linen in 40s yarn. The slub in the yarn gives the surface a quiet texture. The light slate melange colour shifts slightly as the light changes, and the knit construction gives it a soft drape and some natural give.
