Dark Pink Cotton Oxford Cloth Button-Down Shirt
Drake's treats the oxford cloth button-down as a central part of its range, and this dark pink version follows a pattern that has changed little in about a hundred years. It is made in the company's own factory in Somerset with single-needle seams and a regular silhouette. The collar has a brushed interlining that floats free of the cloth so it rolls softly. It is meant to be worn widely, with a tie and tailoring or open at the neck on its own.

Clark Light Pink Oxford Cloth
We chose a solid pink oxford from Proper Cloth's heavier oxford range, as it was the closest match to a plain cotton oxford in this colour, although it is lighter in shade. We kept the shirt soft and unstructured with an Ivy button-down collar, soft front placket, one-button cuffs, a single chest pocket, a curved hem and mother-of-pearl buttons. Proper Cloth's options gave a barrel cuff and a rounded pocket. The recorded design does not list the box pleat, so the back may differ from the original.
A heavy oxford woven from Pima cotton, with a 40/1 warp and a two-ply 21 weft. It has a substantial hand without feeling thick. The colour is a plain light pink, and the cloth is hard-wearing and softens with washing and wear.
