Light Blue Linen Spread Collar Summer Shirt
A summer shirt in pale blue linen, cut with a spread collar and a regular fit. The cloth was woven in Como for Drake's, and the shirt is sewn in Somerset with the single-needle seams and mother of pearl buttons used across the house's shirting. The linen is meant to soften, crease and lighten in colour over a season. It sits as easily untucked over shorts or chinos as it does under a lightweight suit or odd jacket.

Light Blue Washed Linen
We chose a washed light blue linen in a plain weave, lightweight and solid, to match the colour and the creased, uneven surface of the original. We set a soft spread collar, a one-button barrel cuff, a front placket, a single chest pocket, a shallow curved hem and mother of pearl buttons to follow the Drake's details. Proper Cloth does not offer the floating interlining described for the original, so we used its soft construction for collar and cuffs, and the shirt is washed after sewing, which the original is not described as being.
A pure linen in a 14s single-ply plain weave, light in weight with an open, breathable structure and a slubby surface. The light blue has noticeable variation in shade, and the cloth creases readily and is meant to be worn that way.
