Blue and White Awning Stripe Cotton Long Point Collar Shirt
Drake's cuts this long point collar shirt on its casual block, so it fits easily and with some room. A broad awning stripe in blue and white gives it a mid-century look, and the long collar points go back to the shirting of that period. It is made in Italy from a Japanese double-ply, yarn-dyed cotton. Two large patch pockets on the chest, rounded one-button cuffs and a gently curved hem suit it to relaxed wear, either tucked in or worn loose.

Stanton 120s Light Blue Wide Stripe
We chose a light blue and white wide stripe in two-ply cotton because it was the closest match in colour and stripe scale, although the stripe is a little narrower than a true awning stripe. Proper Cloth had no midweight poplin in this pattern, so we accepted a lighter broadcloth with a similarly smooth face. We matched the front placket, the one-button cuffs, the curved hem and the corozo buttons. Proper Cloth does not offer the original's long point collar, so we used a soft point collar, and we gave the shirt a single square chest pocket where the original has two.
An Italian broadcloth woven from 120s two-ply cotton in light blue and white wide stripes. It is very lightweight, smooth and crisp, with almost no surface texture. It creases more readily than a twill or pinpoint, but it irons well and can also be worn unironed after washing for a softer look.
