Blue Ticking Stripe Oxford Cloth Button-Down Work Shirt
A work shirt in striped oxford cotton, made in Somerset, England, that pairs a utilitarian build with a button-down collar. The idea comes from the workwear shirt, with two flapped chest pockets that take on some of the job usually left to trouser pockets. Drake's builds it with the same single-needle construction and mother of pearl buttons used across its shirting. It is meant to be worn casually, either on its own or as a light layer.

Japanese Light Blue Stripe Sea Island Oxford Button Down
We chose a light blue striped oxford because it comes closest to the original's sky blue and white stripe on a 100% cotton oxford ground. We matched the soft button-down collar, the front placket, the two rounded patch pockets with button-through flaps, the two-button cuffs and the mother of pearl buttons. Proper Cloth offers a pencil stripe here rather than a true ticking stripe, and its cloth is a heavier Sea Island oxford, so the stripe and weight are close rather than exact. Proper Cloth also asks for a yoke, a hem and a stitch setting, so we chose a split yoke, a shallow curved hem and 0.2 inch stitching.
A Japanese-woven oxford in West Indian Sea Island cotton from Barbados, spun as 40s single-ply yarn and finished with a soft, slightly lustrous hand. It has a light blue pencil stripe on white and is listed as heavyweight, though it is intended for wear in any season.
