Light Blue and White Ticking Stripe Cotton Oxford Cloth Long Point Collar Shirt
A striped oxford shirt from Drake's, made at the company's own factory in Somerset. It takes the familiar oxford shirt and gives it a long point collar instead of a button-down, cut with floating interlining so the collar rolls softly rather than sitting flat and stiff. The shirt has a regular silhouette and single-needle seams, and is meant to work with a tie and tailoring as readily as with casual clothes.

Japanese Light Blue Stripe Sea Island Oxford Button Down
We chose a Japanese Sea Island cotton oxford in light blue and white stripes because it has the colour, the open oxford texture and the fine stripe closest to the Drake's cloth. We set a soft point collar without a button-down, a soft front placket, a single-button cuff, one chest pocket, a shallow curved hem and mother of pearl buttons to follow the original. Proper Cloth offers no long point collar with floating interlining, so we used its soft point collar instead. The cuff is a barrel style rather than a rounded one, the pocket is angled, and there is a split yoke.
An oxford cloth woven in Japan from West Indian Sea Island cotton grown in Barbados, made from 40s single-ply yarns. Proper Cloth lists it as heavyweight. It is softer and has more lustre than an ordinary oxford, with a narrow light blue pencil stripe on white, and it should wear well all year.
