Sky Blue Cotton Spread Collar End-on-End Poplin Shirt
This is a plain sky blue shirt from Drake's, cut in an end-on-end poplin and made at the company's factory in Somerset. Each blue warp thread sits beside a white one, so the solid colour has a faint flecked texture when seen up close. A spread collar with a soft, floating interlining and single rounded cuffs keep it suited to a tie at the office, and it is equally comfortable worn open at the weekend.

Stanton 120s Light Blue Broadcloth
We chose a smooth light blue two-ply cotton broadcloth to match the original's colour, weight and plain, dressy character. It was the closest solid light blue on offer, although it does not have the end-on-end texture. We matched the front placket, the single-button cuffs, the soft collar and the mother of pearl buttons. Proper Cloth offers no collar or hem that matches the original exactly, so we chose a soft cutaway collar as the nearest open collar and accepted a shallow curved hem.
A very lightweight two-ply broadcloth in 120s cotton, woven in Europe, with a dense, silky smooth surface. It is a clean, solid light blue and presses very crisp. Like most fine broadcloths it creases fairly readily and is not especially opaque.
