Purple Bengal Stripe Cotton Poplin Button-Down Shirt
A long-sleeved button-down shirt in a lightweight cotton poplin with a narrow lavender and white Bengal stripe, made in Drake's own factory in Somerset. It follows the classic Ivy shirt: a softly rolled collar with a brushed, floating interlining, a box pleat at the back and a single pocket on the chest. The smooth, slightly lustrous cloth sits comfortably under a tailored jacket at work and is just as suitable on its own at the weekend.

Stanton 120s Lavender Fancy Stripe Broadcloth
We looked for a smooth, light cotton in a lavender stripe and chose a fine 120s two-ply Italian broadcloth, which is close to poplin in its flat, clean surface. Proper Cloth had no plain lavender and white Bengal stripe, so we accepted a fancy stripe in lavender and blue as the nearest match in colour and scale. We set a soft Ivy button-down collar, a soft one-button barrel cuff, a front placket, a split yoke, a shallow curved hem and mother of pearl buttons to follow the original. Proper Cloth offers an angled pocket rather than a point pocket, and we used that instead.
A very lightweight broadcloth from an Italian mill, woven in 120s two-ply cotton with a smooth, almost silky hand and a crisp finish. It carries a lavender and blue fancy stripe with little surface texture. Being so light, it creases more readily than a twill or pinpoint but presses easily and can also be worn unironed for a softer look.
