Mid-Blue Washed Denim Cotton Two-Pocket Work Shirt
Drake's two-pocket work shirt is a recurring style, here made up in a mid-blue washed denim. It takes its lines from utilitarian workwear: a pair of flapped chest pockets, a spread collar and plain barrel cuffs. It is made in Somerset with single-needle seams and mother-of-pearl buttons. The denim is meant to fade and take on a patina with wear, so it is cut as a shirt to wear often, on its own or as a light layer.

Dark Wash Lightweight Indigo Chambray
We chose a solid indigo cotton chambray to match the mid-blue of the original. It is the nearest plain blue cloth on offer, though lighter than the original's denim. Like the original, it is lightly washed and will fade with wear and washing. We matched the main details: a soft spread collar, rounded one-button barrel cuffs, a front placket, two flapped chest pockets, a curved hem and mother-of-pearl buttons. Proper Cloth offers no pointed-flap work pocket, so we used its safari pockets instead, and we chose a soft, unfused make so the collar and cuffs stay supple, much like the original's floating interlining.
A lightweight indigo chambray in 100% cotton, woven from smooth 32s yarns; Proper Cloth does not name the mill. A very light bleach wash leaves the colour bright and even when new. The indigo fades over time, and the cloth softens noticeably after the first wash.

- A very light bleach wash and smooth yarns make this a quite even-looking chambray right out of the box. Over time, and after washing, the rich, bright indigo dye will fade out a bit, improving the softness and visual interest of the fabric. As such, only wash with like colors. This fabric will break in significantly after the first wash, like the classic chambray shirt you always wanted. Finish: No Treatment.
