Green Check Cotton Two-Pocket Work Shirt
A work shirt in a lightweight Japanese cotton flannel, brushed and woven in a large green check. It takes its cue from the utility shirts worn in workshops, with two flapped chest pockets made to carry small things that would otherwise weigh down a trouser pocket. It is made in Italy with single-needle seams and corozo buttons, and is meant to be worn on its own or as a light outer layer, from working days through to weekends.

Kent Green Navy and Gold Lightweight Flannel
We chose a lightweight brushed cotton flannel in a green plaid, which keeps the weight, softness and broad check of the original. The colouring differs, since this cloth pairs green with navy and gold, whereas the original has ecru, tan and black. We matched the rounded flap chest pockets, the one-button cuffs, the curved hem and the natural corozo buttons. Proper Cloth offered no stand collar in this design, so we used a soft point collar and kept the collar and cuffs unfused and soft to stay close to the relaxed feel of the original.
A lightweight cotton flannel in 50s yarns, lightly brushed for a soft, smooth hand. It is lighter than a typical flannel, so it can be worn alone in mild weather or layered when it is cold. The plaid is mainly green and navy with a fine gold accent.
