Ecru Denim Two-Pocket Western Shirt
A long-sleeved western shirt in ecru cotton denim, made in Italy. It takes the familiar ranch shirt and builds it with single-needle seams, edge stitching and corozo buttons. The denim is dyed and washed, and it is meant to be worn hard so that it softens and gains character over many years.

Japanese Natural Slub Chambray
Proper Cloth offers no ecru denim, so we chose a Japanese undyed slub chambray. It is a pale, cream cloth of similar weight with plenty of surface texture. We set the western front, western pockets, western yoke, edge stitching and natural corozo buttons to follow the original. The options differ at the collar and cuffs: we used a soft point collar instead of the long western point, and one-button barrel cuffs with adjustable buttons instead of three-button cuffs.
A medium-heavyweight Japanese chambray in plain weave, woven from 16s cotton yarns and left undyed in a creamy natural shade. Slubs in the yarn and natural speckles give the solid colour an uneven, textured surface suited to casual wear.
