Brown Moleskin Two-Pocket Long Point Collar Work Shirt
Drake's cuts this work shirt from brushed cotton moleskin on its casual block. It takes its lines from utilitarian workwear: two flapped chest pockets, a long point collar and a curved hem. The pockets are there to carry small things. It is a casual piece that can be worn in a workshop or at the weekend, and its heavy cloth lets it double as a light outer layer.
In Proper Cloth
Canclini Dark Brown Beacon Flannel
We could not find moleskin among Proper Cloth's cloths. Instead we chose a heavy brushed cotton flannel in dark brown, which comes close to the original's colour, its soft napped surface and its weight. Mother of pearl buttons, a single-button barrel cuff, a front placket and a curved hem match the original. For the pockets we used Proper Cloth's western pointed flap pockets, the closest of its options to the original's pointed flaps. We also chose its soft point collar, because no long point collar matching the original was offered.
Canclini, an Italian shirting mill, weaves this cloth as a heavyweight cotton flannel from 50s two-ply yarn. It is brushed to a soft, smooth nap and comes in a plain dark brown. It feels substantial without being bulky, and it drapes more like a dress shirting than a typical workwear flannel.
