White Cotton-Linen Two-Pocket Work Shirt
Drake's two-pocket work shirt takes the plain outline of a utility shirt and finishes it with the care usually kept for tailored shirting. It is cut in a light Japanese cotton and linen cloth in an off-white shade and made up in Italy. The cut is boxy and relaxed, with twin flap pockets so small things can ride on the chest rather than in the trousers. It is meant to be worn untucked or loosely tucked, as a casual shirt for the workshop or the weekend.

Japanese Natural Slub Chambray
We looked for a pale, undyed cloth with some surface texture that would read like the slightly irregular cotton and linen of the original, and chose a Japanese slub chambray in a creamy natural shade. Proper Cloth offers no matching cotton and linen blend in this colour with the same character, so we accepted an all-cotton cloth that is heavier. We set a point collar, one-button barrel cuffs, a front placket, western flap pockets, a shallow curved hem and mother of pearl buttons to follow the original. Proper Cloth builds its collar and cuffs with soft interlinings, which we used in place of Drake's brushed floating interlining.
A medium-heavyweight plain-weave chambray from Japan, woven in 100% cotton from 16s yarns and left in a creamy, undyed natural colour. Slubs in the yarn and natural speckles give it an uneven, textured surface. It is a sturdy casual cloth that should soften with washing and wear.
