Drake's by A. Levine Black Check Cotton Two-Pocket Work Shirt
This is a limited-edition work shirt from a collaborative series, made in Somerset in a heavy brushed cotton with a large black and ecru check. It takes the plain utility of a workwear shirt and finishes it with the details of Drake's tailored shirting: single-needle seams, fisheye corozo buttons and interlining that floats free in the collar and cuffs. Two deep chest pockets carry what might otherwise weigh down trouser pockets, and the shirt is meant to be worn loosely, on its own or as a layer, from the garden to the coast.

Canclini Dark Grey Plaid Beacon Flannel
We chose a heavy brushed cotton flannel from Canclini so the weight and soft surface would match the original, and accepted a tonal dark grey plaid in place of the bold black and ecru check, as no closer colourway was available in this quality. We kept the two-pocket front, a soft unfused point collar, a single-button cuff, a front placket and corozo buttons. Proper Cloth offers a barrel cuff rather than a rounded one and a shallow curved hem rather than a straight one, so we used those, and its utility pockets stand in for the original's round-bottomed patch pockets.
A heavyweight all-cotton flannel woven by Canclini near Lake Como from two-ply 50s yarn, brushed on the surface to a dense, soft hand. It carries a tonal dark grey plaid, and it is substantial enough to wear as a light overshirt yet still breathes well enough for indoor wear.
