Dark Green Bengal Stripe Cotton Poplin Button-Down Shirt
Drake's makes this button-down in a fine cotton poplin printed by nothing more than its weave: a narrow dark green and white bengal stripe. It is cut and sewn at the company's factory in Somerset, with a soft, unstiffened collar roll and the traditional details of a classic Oxford-style shirt carried over to a smoother, lighter cloth. The result sits between office and weekend, worn with tailoring or on its own.

Stanton 120s Green Bengal Stripe
We chose a 120s two-ply broadcloth in a dark green and white bengal stripe, as it matches the original's colour, stripe scale and smooth, light plain weave closely. We set a soft button-down collar, a one-button barrel cuff, a front placket, a chest pocket, mother of pearl buttons and a curved hem to follow the Drake's shirt. Proper Cloth's menu offers an angled pocket rather than a pointed one and a one-piece yoke throughout, so we took those, and the made design does not list a back box pleat.
A European-woven broadcloth from Proper Cloth's Stanton range, made from 120s two-ply cotton yarns. It is very light, smooth and crisp, with almost no surface texture, striped in dark green and white just wider than a pencil stripe. It irons well but creases more readily than a twill or pinpoint.

- Their light weight tends to make them more prone to wrinkling than twills or pinpoints, however broadcloths iron up nicely and can even be worn washed without ironing for a more casual look. Finish: No Treatment.
