Brown Cotton Button Down Flannel Shirt
Drake's treats the button-down shirt as central to its house style, and this version is cut in a plain brown brushed cotton flannel for the cooler months. It is made in the company's Somerset factory with a regular silhouette, single-needle seams and a collar built over a floating interlining, so the points roll softly rather than sitting flat. It is intended as a casual shirt for autumn and winter, worn alongside corduroy, Shetland knitwear and heavier tweeds.

Canclini Dark Brown Beacon Flannel
We chose a solid dark brown cotton flannel from Canclini because it matches the colour, the brushed surface and the plain, unpatterned look of the original. We set a soft button-down collar to give the unfused roll that defines the Drake's shirt, and paired it with a one-button cuff, a front placket, a curved hem and mother of pearl buttons. Proper Cloth's pocket options led us to an angled patch pocket rather than a pocket with a pen holder, and the cloth we chose is heavier than the original's midweight flannel.
A heavyweight cotton flannel woven by the Italian shirting mill Canclini from 50s two-ply yarns, in a solid dark brown. It is brushed to a soft, smooth nap and drapes more like a dress shirting than a workwear flannel, giving warmth without much bulk.
