Sand Moleskin Two-Pocket Western Shirt
This is a Western shirt in a sand-coloured Japanese cotton moleskin, made in Italy. It keeps the standard features of the ranch shirt: pointed yokes, two flapped chest pockets and double-button barrel cuffs. Single-needle sewing and mother of pearl buttons give it a neater finish than the workwear originals had. The dense, brushed cloth is meant to soften and fade with years of wear, and the shirt can be worn on its own or as a light overshirt.

Camel Melange Cotton Cashmere Italian Flannel
We chose a camel cotton and cashmere flannel because it comes closest to the sand colour, the brushed surface and the substantial weight of the moleskin. We set the Western front, pockets and yoke, edge stitching and mother of pearl buttons to follow the original's Western details. Proper Cloth's options did not match the original's long spread Western collar or its barrel cuffs, so we chose a soft point collar and square two-button cuffs. The hem is a shallow curve, not straight.
An Italian heavyweight flannel of 96% cotton and 4% cashmere, woven from 30s two-ply yarn in a pronounced twill. It is plain camel melange, lightly brushed so it feels soft and a little fuzzy, and it is meant as a warm shirt for the colder months.
