Blue Ticking Stripe Cotton Oxford Cloth Button-Down Shirt
Drake's treats the oxford button-down as central to its range, and this version is cut in a narrow blue ticking stripe. The shirt is made in the company's Somerset factory with single-needle seams and a regular silhouette. The button-down collar has a brushed, floating interlining so that it keeps a soft, full roll. It is meant to be worn with tailoring or casual clothes alike.

Clark Blue University Stripe Oxford Cloth
We chose a blue and white striped oxford in all cotton to match the original's cloth and colouring, accepting a university stripe because no ticking stripe was available in this weave. We set a soft Ivy button-down collar, a soft front placket, one-button cuffs and mother of pearl buttons to follow the Drake's details. Proper Cloth's options led us to an angled chest pocket, a split yoke and a shallow curved hem, and the cloth is a heavier oxford than the Drake's midweight.
A heavyweight oxford woven from Pima cotton in 40s two-ply yarns, with a substantial but not thick hand. It carries blue university stripes on a white ground and is hard-wearing, softening with repeated washing and wear.
