Blue and White Stripe Cotton-Linen Seersucker Camp Collar Short Sleeve Shirt
A short-sleeved summer shirt with an open camp collar, made by Drake's in Somerset from a blue and white striped seersucker of cotton and linen. It follows the long tradition of the holiday shirt, a plain square-hemmed shape that has gone by many names, and keeps the design deliberately simple. The cut is loose, the front is plain and the hem is straight, so it is meant to be worn untucked in the hottest weather.

Portuguese Blue Stripe Seersucker
We chose a blue and white striped cotton seersucker woven in Portugal, as the closest match to the colour, narrow stripe and puckered texture of the original. We set a soft one-piece collar to give the open camp shape, with a straight hem, a single square patch pocket and mother of pearl buttons, as on the Drake's shirt. Proper Cloth offered no cotton-linen seersucker here, so the cloth is all cotton and a little heavier, and we chose a French front and turned-back cuffs on the short sleeves where the original has a placket and plain sleeve ends.
An all-cotton seersucker woven in Portugal from 38s two-ply yarns, in narrow blue and white stripes. Its puckered surface stands away from the skin and lets air move beneath the shirt, and it is of medium weight, so it feels a little more substantial than the lightest summer shirtings and can be worn without ironing.
