Blue Stripe Block Print Cotton Camp Collar Short Sleeve Shirt
A short-sleeved summer shirt with an open camp collar, made in Somerset from a light cotton poplin. The stripe is printed by hand with wooden blocks in India, so each line has slightly uneven edges. The shirt follows the familiar holiday shirt: a square hem, a plain front and a loose cut, kept deliberately simple. It is meant to be worn untucked in hot weather.

Stanton Royal Blue Bengal Stripe 120s Broadcloth
We chose a very lightweight blue and white bengal stripe in two-ply cotton broadcloth, because its stripe width and colouring come close to the original's printed stripe and its weight suits hot weather. We used a soft one-piece collar to give an open camp collar, with a French front, short sleeves, a straight hem and mother of pearl buttons to match the Drake's details. Proper Cloth offers no hand block-printed cloth, so the irregular printed stripe becomes a regular woven one. Its pocket comes with angled corners rather than as a plain patch.
A fine Italian broadcloth woven from 120s two-ply cotton, very light, smooth and crisp, with almost no surface texture. It has royal blue and white bengal stripes of even width. It creases fairly easily but irons well, and it can be worn washed and unpressed for a softer look.
