Ecru, Navy and Red Check Slub Cotton Two-Pocket Work Shirt
Drake's two-pocket work shirt borrows from plain utility shirting and recasts it in a large check of ecru, navy and red on a slubbed cotton. The pattern follows the traditional workwear shirt: twin flapped chest pockets, a spread collar and rounded single cuffs. It is finished to the standard of the house's dress shirts, with single-needle seams and mother of pearl buttons. It is meant as a casual overshirt or shirt for weekends and outdoor days, and it is made in Somerset.

Portuguese Blue and Red Plaid Twill
We looked for a cotton twill with a bold multicoloured check and enough body to stand in for the original's substantial slub cloth, and settled on a Somelos plaid in blue and red. We set the spread collar, single-button cuffs, front placket, two flapped chest pockets and mother of pearl buttons to follow the original. Proper Cloth offers no slub cotton in a matching check, so we chose a smooth, soft twill, accepting a cleaner surface and a colourway led by blue and red rather than an ecru ground. Its soft collar and cuff options are the closest available match to the original's brushed floating interlining.
A single-ply 50s cotton twill woven by Somelos in Portugal, soft in the hand with a weight between shirting and flannel. It carries a contrasting blue and red plaid and suits autumn and winter wear, worn casually or with relaxed tailoring.
