Blue Bengal Stripe Cotton Poplin Button-Down Shirt
Drake's makes this button-down at its own factory in Somerset, cutting it from a lightweight cotton poplin in blue and white bengal stripes. It sits in a long line of striped button-downs that work as well with a suit as at the weekend. The collar is given a brushed interlining that floats free of the outer cloth, so it rolls softly instead of standing stiff. A box pleat at the back, a single rounded cuff and a point pocket complete a plain, conventional design.

Thomas Mason Blue Bengal Stripe Broadcloth
We chose a Thomas Mason broadcloth in the same blue and white bengal stripe. It is a lightweight plain-weave cotton close in character to the original poplin. We matched the soft button-down collar, the one-button cuff, the single chest pocket and the mother of pearl buttons. Proper Cloth's options led us to an angled pocket in place of the point pocket, a barrel cuff in place of the rounded cuff and a split yoke at the back.
A lightweight broadcloth woven by Thomas Mason from 100s two-ply cotton, in medium blue and white bengal stripes. It has a smooth, fine hand and is fairly opaque for a cloth of this weight. It takes a crisp press for tailored wear and can also be worn less formally.
